Basically, our Lay-By system allows you to pay a 20% deposit at the time of purchase of any item/s listed on the website, you can lay-by sale items but coupon codes cannot be used. You have up to two months (or xmas lay-by date)- to pay off the balance of your order. Minimum purchase total for lay-by is $100. We send you your order as soon as the balance is paid off in full. Express shipping throughout Australia: – $28. Delivery time depends on how rural/metro you are and if you ordered just before the weekend. We ship from Sydney, so if you are in rural SA, VIC, NT or WA – Express is absolutely not overnight!! but definitely faster than standard.

We are happy to work out the best postage option for you.
If you order an item to be sent overseas but it violates export/import regulations for that country – we will let you know and refund your money if you don’t want to swap item out for another.
We also don’t ship most wooden or heavy /bulky items overseas. If your item will cost more than $80 to post we will be in contact – to see if you want to swap for lighter-weight combination or another alternative.

Mon-Fri (Post office hours) Shipping
All posted items are shipped via Australia Post from Sydney, Australia.
Your parcel heads off quickly as we pack and post within 3 days of you placing the order of in -stock items.

We don’t add documentation, receipts, tax invoices or price/payment info with your parcel. All invoices from us, and payment receipts from the payment mode you used (eg Paypal, Eway, Wizpay etc) are sent to the email address you provided with your order. This is ideal for sending gifts or keeping your spending habits on the “down low” (we get it!)
Sometimes your work/home server or your email spam blocker {we don’t know why} will block our emails and emails from Auspost to you – such as the Order Confirmation and / or your Auspost tracking details etc – If so please get in contact – I will do an auto resend – if this is also blocked – I can try another way.
This happens about once a week – so I am very sorry if it happens to you – and very happy to text you tracking details, invoice etc – whatever did not get- through!!)


Your order confirmation that is EMAILED to you has our ABN on it and acts also as your Tax invoice for tax purposes. WE are happy to resend this as required

Your parcels are always sent using tracking and with insurance. Australia Post will send you all your tracking details to your email address, once your postage is on its way. Check your spam folder if you don’t see it.
Or ask me – I will happily send you your tracking number if you cannot find it – and get to say Hi personally in the process. 🙂

Re-cycled bubblewrap, filling etc in your parcel

We only use sustainably sourced, recycled, compostable or recyclable packaging, it may be a bit ugly at times – but its good for the planet :).
Our packaging for-Hamper and Gift orders Is made as pretty as possible -while packaging is still eco-safe.
We use biodegradable sticky tape and FSC paper and cards – mostly made in Australia – although we also source some fabulous tissue paper sustainably made in Finland

GIFTS/HAMPERS for others:
If you have noted to us, that your item is to be a gift – we gift wrap, provide a card and “Shzoozsh up” the presentation so it arrives beautifully ready for your recipient to be absolutely delighted. Our packaging for non-hamper or gift orders Is recycled/eco-safe – but fittingly fabulous in presentation!
No receipt or payment info is sent with your parcel. This is all sent to you the payer via the email you provided – check spam if you dont see it.- we are happy to resend if you can’t find it.

Please note: We reserve the right to refund your order and/or ask if you are willing to contribute to postage, if sending your package will cost us more than the value of the order or for any other other reasonable situation, such as, we cannot organise an affordable way to send your order. We will know this within 24 hours – so you wont be left wondering. This has actually never happened -we usually just accept the cost -but we imagine it could one day – so we have this paragraph here just in case!

HOW LONG WILL the Post Take?

The Good news: Auspost success rate for on-time deliveries is well over 90%, 
BUT just to be safe don’t order those special birthday presents with only a few days to go…
We will get them out on time, but the rest is up to Australia Post.

The following info will give you an indication how long it will take  Australia Post to deliver your parcel :

Standard post parcels Delivery Time:
National delivery within 3-10 business days. Delivery times via Australia Post to Western Australia, and regional and remote locations in Northern Territory, South Australia, Queensland and Tasmania may still be a little longer than usual.

Express post parcels Delivery Time: 
National delivery within 1-6 business days. Delivery times via Australia Post to Western Australia, and regional and remote locations in Northern Territory, South Australia, Queensland and Tasmania may still be a little longer than usual.

30 day refund/exchange ….

If item is DAMAGED, FAULTY, does not work as expected etc…
1. Contact us within a week  so we can sort this out for you asap – please send pictures of problems/items so we understand the nature of the damage/fault and we can also inform the original brand about the issue

We will offer you replacement or refund – depending on availability and your preference.  If replacement wanted/available on damaged/faulty item, we incur the cost of re-sending you out the replacement etc.

We will gladly exchange UNDAMAGED, UNFAULTY items in your order, taking into account the following return conditions.
To be eligible for an exchange or credit on “change of mind” items:

a. your item/s must be unused, with all tags attached & original packaging intact & in saleable condition;
b. item was not on sale
c. you must contact us: or text 0416 087 394 within 2 (two) days of receiving your order. 
d. we do not provide refunds under circumstances that do not require a refund under the Australian Consumer Law, however we love you, our customers, and will do our darnedest to reach the best outcome for you.
e. Undamaged exchanges  – you will need to pay for returning item and the posting out of replacement item.

NOTE: If you are returning an item, you will need to pack the item/s really well to ensure they will not be damaged in transit; and use a tracked service with insurance – Australia Post offers this, as we cannot accept liability for parcels we have not received.
Once we receive your return we will process it within 5 business days.

We are humans like you, we rarely have issues with our quality toys – but it can happen! but please be nice about this. I run a small family business (not a multi national conglomerate) yes I make mistakes – but it still costs us to replace etc – so courtesy and kindness is always appreciated. WE do our best to keep you happy, so bare with our humanity.
Hand made items such as Grimm’s and Grapat wooden toys and Hand crocheted rugs from Pebble and other crochet or felted or fair-trade items etc are all one-off items and can feature differences of colour, patterns, wood grains, dark lines and other variations in colour on grain, these are natural differences due to the nature of wood, hand crafting etc. These are not faults and will not be replaced or refunded. Happy to see photos if you are concerned.

2. Also no refund/exchange on Baby wear, Bonnets or Babiators due to the personal nature of these.

 Stock availability

Stock or exchange preferences are subject to availability.
Although we aim to ensure information on our website is correct, we reserve the right to change pricing and availability to its correct form if found to be incorrect. We are human; and technology is designed by humans. So don’t be too hard on us!

Loss and damage during delivery:

Our lovely fairy worker (I) at Bambino, check all toys and gifts to make sure they are in perfect condition and not faulty prior to packaging and every item is packaged with great care. We always post with tracking- so that your order can be tracked.
Australia Post is a reliable delivery service, however sometimes mishaps can occur.
We cannot take responsibility for issues that take place while package is in transit.
If a package is delayed, arrives damaged or not at all; please contact us immediately by email or phone and we will help direct you through the process of claiming through Australia Post.

DAMAGED (in the post) ITEM:

All the items we post out carry insurance up to the value of $100 – we usually increase the insurance, if the items are valued over $100.
If your item/s arrive damaged, let us know within 2 days, and then your next step will be to take it to the post office with your proof of purchase (print out a receipt so they know the value of the item – I can resend this if you cant find it) and the damaged item, the box/satchel/package it arrived in etc.
You can claim up to $100 back from the Post office. If we have made the error of not insuring the item over $100 and the item that is damaged is valued above this-we can work out the options with you.
