About Grapat
Founded in the countryside of Grapat, Grapat creates beautifully simple wooden toys that celebrate the wonder of open-ended play. The name Grapat means “a handful” in Catalan, reflecting the company’s philosophy of offering children a handful of carefully crafted pieces that spark imagination and creativity. Made from sustainably sourced wood, each piece is hand-stained using water-based, non-toxic dyes that allow the natural grain of the wood to remain visible. Finished with vegetable oils and waxes, Grapat toys embrace the beauty and uniqueness of nature, encouraging children to explore, create, sort, build and discover at their own pace. Inspired by the colours, textures and rhythms of the natural world, every Grapat creation is designed to nurture free play, curiosity and connection with nature.
